Snip, snip............

No, not that kind of 'snip'!!! The boys got their first haircuts last week. They look so grown up.

No more mullet!!! (even though you can't see the back, trust me!)

Jaxson loves his new big boy haircut!!

The boys have been doing okay. This past week has been VERY eventful. Last Friday was their 1 year check ups. The updates are:

Jayce: 31" (80%) and 22lbs

Jaxson: 29.8" and 21lbs

They were healthy and no problems............until Sunday night. Sunday was the boys first swim lesson which was AWESOME. We were having a great weekend until Jayce woke up in the middle of the night. Jayce NEVER wakes up in the middle of the night. The only times he does is when Jaxson wakes up and screams and then Jayce will wake up.

Anyways, he had a stomach ache, took care of it and back to bed he went and didn't wake up again. Then Monday night he woke up. This is so unlike him that on Tuesday we decided to take him to the dr. He has an ear infection again. The boys just had their second ear infection a little over a month ago. Pretty good, only 2 infections in 1 year! Now Jayce has his 3rd and is on a different antibiotic.

Mommy got checked and has a sinus infection.

Jaxson was fine......................until yesterday when the babysitter said he had diarrhea, slept a lot and wouldn't eat. That's not like Jaxson. So back to the dr. we went. Jaxson has a stomach virus that just started going around. Thank god it only last a day. He's back to his normal self today, playing, eating and laughing. He still seems a little out of it but his bowels are back to normal which is good.

So, it has been crazy in our house, to say the least. Hopefully they are okay for swim lessons on Sunday. Can't wait to learn more stuff. They LOVE the water!

Thank you, Thank you and THANK YOU!

Just wanted to thank everyone who came and celebrated the twins 1st birthday with us. We all had a blast and it ended way to early (thanks to an early bedtime!). Thank you cards will be going out as soon as I find a moment but in the meantime, we just wanted to thank all our family and friends!

1st birthday success..........

I can't believe one year is already gone and done with the twins! They are truly now 'little men' and although it makes Mommy sad that they are growing up so quickly, I can't wait for the next phase of their life and another year to spend with them!

Here are some highlights from the party:

Birthday Boy, Jayce!

Birthday Boy, Jaxson!

If it weren't for the hair, they'd look identical!

Sitting in their new rocking chairs from Grandma and Grandpa Welch

Not a happy camper with the cake and singing 'happy birthday'

Jayce didn't mind as you will see here......

and here.......

and here (with his foot).........

and here (making fishy faces)!

Yummy cake!!

It was such a great day to spend with family and friends even though it was so hectic. The kids held up okay even though we were cutting it close to their bedtime. They didn't go right to bed like normal. They fought it a little but ended up falling asleep and then waking up again a few hours later and were out for the night. Now we just can't wait until tomorrow to play with new toys and go buy new ones that they wanted but didn't get!

As far as growth, not too sure on height/weight. They go on Jan. 7th for their 1 year check up and shots. I can tell you that Jayce has tooth #9 and #10 coming in and Jaxson just popped #8 a few days ago. They are talking more and more everyday as well and eating so many new foods. The latest is corn dogs! No new words since my last update on their growth but they are perfecting 'hello'. Jayce actually says 'hi guys'........or so it sounds!

Here's to a great 1st year with the boys and a happy new year filled with more memories!
