Jaxson Walking

We now officially have TWO walkers in the house (and in a few days, we'll have TWO toddlers). Jayce has been walking solo for about 2 weeks now and Jaxson just picked it up yesterday. He's so cute when he walks!

More babies, you say?

After weeks of numerous discussions, my husband and I may have finally come to a conclusion on when to expand our family even more. Before I get to what our conclusion is, I really want to ask a few questions to the other multiple Mom's out there to get some necessary feedback before I keep our conclusion in place!

1) If you have multiples and another baby(ies), how far apart are they in age and do think that age gap is too big or too little??

Both my husband's siblings and me and my brother are 4 years apart and I think that may be too far of an age gap.

2) If you had a hard time getting pregnant with your multiples, was it easier or harder the second time around?

This is one of my fears that it will take a while again to finally get pregnant.

3) If you had a singleton the second time around, was the baby easier or harder to take care of than your multiples?

I have to admit, we are secretly hoping for another set of multiples. With 3 sets on my Mom's side of the family and 1 set on my husband's (not really a factor) and already having 1 set, I'm more likely to have another. Just wondering if we'd only have 1 baby, if it was easier or harder.

We have come to a conclusion to try after the boys turn 2 which is in a year. Basically sometime in 2012 (since the twins birthday is Dec. 31st and practically the new year anyway). I'm really hoping it doesn't take us over a year again because I want the children to be close in age but not TOO close.

Any feedback would be appreciated..............thanks multiple mommies!!

Jayce just acting like a goofball as usual. The boys are still sick but since they got their medicine, they have been back to normal!

Mischief Makers..............??

Mommy has to start being a little more proactive in the 'out of reach' dept. My little boogers are growing up TOO fast and getting TOO smart TOO fast. Here is what has been happening:

Jayce has always played with water bottles, food containers, etc. but NOW, he has learned how to take tops, caps and other tops off of random objects. Here he has learned how to pop the top off of his gerber puffs canister and proceeded to play and throw them all over the living room. Although I was a little upset, it made me laugh!

Yes, the boys are 11 months, but they still love to sit in their swings and play on them. I think they are finally ready to go in the basement............especially since Jaxson broke this one!!!! From climbing out the back of it and jumping on it too many times, it finally cracked and is now a 'recliner'.

The boys are just TOO funny sometimes...........I love them so much and can't wait to see what other antics they will get into after they turn 1!!!

And the sickness begins.......

After a week and a half of sleepless nights with Jaxson, we finally decided it was time to take him to the doctor. As any mother of multiples knows, if one is sick, they both (or all) are sick.......so we took Jayce as well to make sure he was fine. Turns out Jaxson has a double ear infection and Jayce has just one ear infection. My poor babies. Thankfully this is only the 2nd ear infection in 2 years so so far, they are not going to need tubes and I hope they don't. They have been pretty darn healthy for their 1st year of life!

Their one year shots are scheduled for January 7th but since they were there yesterday, I got to see how much they weigh. Jaxson is staying steady at 19lbs and Jayce is staying at 20lbs. I think now that they are moving more, they are maintaining their weight.

Jaxson also is getting in his 8th tooth.....I can see but it hasn't poked through yet. Jayce has 8 already and is getting #'s 9 and 10! They are just cruising right along..........

Speaking of cruising, Jayce is pretty much walking on his own. Crazy that he is but I started walking at 9 months so 11 months for him isn't too shabby. Jaxson started talking first and now the roles are switching. Jaxson is starting to take steps on his own and Jayce is starting to talk.

So far Jaxson says:

'Dada'
'Kitty'
'Book'

Jayce says:

'Kitty'
'Hello'

They are growing up too fast for me when I sit and think about it sometimes but it's all the growing up process and I love it. Am I crazy for saying I can't wait to have more?

Jaxson Playing.......

Jaxson is learning so much as each day passes. He puts balls (toys or anything else he can find) in his basketball hoop, gives you something when you ask for it and copies your every move no matter what it is you are doing. Here he is copying daddy making noises with his blocks.

A little delayed..........

Yes, a thanksgiving post is a little delayed when it's only 3 weeks until Christmas but that's what happens when you are a busy mom of multiples................better late than never, hey!?

We had a wonderful thanksgiving stopping by the Nabak side of the family first after naptime and then heading to the Welch side of the family second. We ate lots of food, had some laughs and called it an early night with the boys.

I am definitely thankful for many things this thanksgiving! My family, my health, my job, my hubby and most of all, my two little men! God couldn't have blessed us more this year.

Shiner........

A few days ago, Jayce officially got his first 'shiner'. Since he's been walking like crazy, he'll just start walking towards you when you are not looking and you turn around and he falls over because he thinks you'll catch him everytime.

Well, this time he tripped and fell on top of one of his stacking cups. Poor baby cried for like a minute and then started laughing like crazy. At least we'll have a photo to remember.........

11 Months........

I can't believe that in 1 month, my babies will turn 1 year old! It's crazy how time flies. I have loved every minutes (almost! lol) of this past year with them. We've already had so many firsts and I know there are many more to come.

The boys go for their 1 year check up on Jan. 7th. I can't wait to see how much they've grown since their 9 month check up. Jayce seems to weigh more than Jaxson so we'll see who's bigger.

Some other updates...........Jayce is FINALLY getting his 8th tooth. After a month of teething, I can see the white of it. It's just a matter of time before it pops through the gum and then we can officially say that he has 8 teeth.

Jayce is also walking all over the house. He's not COMPLETELY walking on his own but he does just pull himself up on something and takes off across the living room or down the hall. He also stands up from the sitting position, too.

Jaxson has had a rough time getting his 8th tooth. He's been teething for about a month as well but the last few days, he's had a lot of trouble with his tummy. That must be why they are called the 'stomach teeth'. I hope this means that his 8th tooth is finally going to come in like Jayce's.

Jaxson is a talker more than a walker like his brother. Jaxson started taking steps before Jayce but now has decided he wants to talk first, I guess!? lol.......He's always saying new things and making new sounds.

That's all that's been going on in the Nabak household. More updates to come.........

O Tannenbaum!

*sniff*

Looks like Christmas is in the air! It's the time of year to take pictures for Christmas cards, put up decorations and shop 'til you drop! This is by far my favorite time of year to be thankful for family and give back to people who have given to you all year.......and this year is obviously extra special because the twins birthday is right after Christmas (followed by my birthday, of course)!

So, here's a preview of our Christmas pictures/the twins 11 month pictures....

I LOVE the pictures we got! Memories preserved in pictures for a lifetime. Thanks to Dad (Grandpa) for taking them! Can't wait to get my Christmas cards out now!

How YOU doin'?

Oh, the pictures we get of our kids. Memories for them to look back on years down the road and reminisce on their childhood.

This was from this morning.........another 'Kevin doing'! He calls me into the kitchen and says to look at Jaxson. Here's what I saw:

Although he looks HELLA cute, I still feel bad for the little guy. Oh well, just another picture in our book of memories!

Although he's not FULLY walking alone, he is taking steps which means, not before long, he'll walk unassisted.

10 Months!!!

Oh my gosh.........10 months!! Teeth are coming in like mad, feet are just about in sync to walk and the words are starting to form better. I don't know if I'm ready for my babies to grow up but ready or not, they are!

Happy 10 months to my little boogers!

Happy Pumpkin Day!

Since the boys are kinda sick, we foregoed trick or treating this year with them. We still dressed them up in their costumes and took their 10 month pictures.........and a new family picture!

Here's what we got:

Jayce (as an octopus)

Jaxson (as a sea turtle)

I managed to get a few smiles out of them but since they are teething AND sick, it just wasn't a great combo!

As far as updates, the boys are still ready and willing to walk. In the past 2 weeks, each of them have taken a step by themselves. They also stand unattended for small periods of time. Won't be long before they are walking!

Both are equal with teeth now. The boys have 7 teeth each and the 8th is just making it's way through. We are giving them more and more solid foods. They LOVE mashed potatoes and apples. This week we also gave them some of our chicken. They loved that, too!! Tomorrow we are going to try spaghetti-o's! We'll see how that goes.....

Kevin and I FINALLY got a gym membership to the YMCA! In January new swim classes start so we are going to sign up the boys FOR SURE! They love the water and if we were so busy today, we'd already be there swimming with them. There are so many things we can do there with them to have them interact with other kids their age. Since they are at home all day while we're at work, it'll be nice to get them out every week, at least once, to play!

Before I end this post, I'll leave you with a video of Jaxson crawling in his costume! TOO FUNNY!

Fall or Summer??

Our annual pumpkin farm trip took place today and I had a hard time figuring out if it was fall or summer?? It was about 80 today and we only last about 2 hours. I expected to at least make it to the pumpkin patch but we only made it to the apples and then home! Oh well, there's always next year!

Since I knew we were going today, I held off on taking the boy's 9 month pictures as well!! Man, am I glad I waited. They turned out C-U-T-E! Before I make the reveal, here are the boys doctor updates:

Jaxson: 20lbs 1oz and 27 1/4" (currently has 4 teeth, one on it's way in)
Jayce: 20lbs 12oz and 27 1/2" (currently has 6 teeth, more on the way but can't see where yet)

We had such a great time at the pumpkin farm that I'm already thinking about next year. Hopefully it's not as hot next year though!!

8 Months.........holy cow!!

These boys are just growing right before my eyes! First steps aren't far off, teeth are coming in like mad and the babbling is starting to sound more like words! AYE!!

I didn't take too many 8 month pictures. Between the boys being sick and teething, it was just too rough for me to make them sit (or not)! Here is what I did get:

I did take some pictures for my Dad's 'Beatles Corner' which could count as 8 month pictures!

Either way, pictures or not, they are getting 'SOOOOO BIG'! (lol)

Fall is in the air...........

Ahhh, my favorite time of year..........it's a time for pumpkin farms, hot chocolate and two of my favorites:

warm jammies

and sweater vests!!!

Aren't they just adorable!?

These boys sure don't know that they are in for this fall. Mommy will probably take a few hundred pictures easily at the pumpkin farm alone let alone all the other things we'll probably do like walks in the park and don't forget their first train show!!

My boys are getting so big and all I want to do is freeze time but I can't. This is all part of them growing up and I have to be happy that they are keeping up developmental and growth wise.........thanks to Kevin and I of course! :)

Jaxson is now ready to walk. He has been pulling himself up on furniture for about a month and in the past week has been standing alone for longer and longer periods of time. He also is walking with his push toy to hold on to. Now he just has to put the two together and he'll be walking!! AYE!!

Jayce is about 2-3 weeks behind Jaxson but still catching up quickly. He is just starting to pull himself up onto the furniture and is not as wobbly standing as he was a week ago. He's getting strong fast!!
