Signs........

No, not signs as in the movie but as in baby sign language. Since the boys were 4 or 5 months old, I have been playing the Baby Einstein 'My First Signs' DVD and in the last few months, they really have been catching on. It is great to have some sort of communication with them other than pointing and 'da'.

As of right now:

Jayce - baby, ball, more and eat
Jaxson - ball, more, eat and kiss (well, he sort of does kiss)

They also know some body parts if you ask them. They know their hair, belly, feet and we are currently teaching the parts of their face. They sort of do eyes, ears, nose and mouth, mostly by singing 'head, shoulders, knees and toes'.

Here is a little snippet of Jayce:

They are growing up so fast and I can't believe they will be 15 months tomorrow. Time flies by but it sure has been a pretty good ride so far.

Mikki D's

The boys are officially addicted to McDonald's........as every child usually is. We went 2 weeks ago for the first time and have gone a few times since. Mostly for them to run around playland and waste some energy. They have shared our food with us those first few times and today, we decided to get them a happy meal to share, complete with toy and everything.

Who knew a McDonald's toy would be such a hit??

Tantrums!

Let the temper tantrums begin! Jayce has officially shown us what a 15 month old can do! And that is falling down to the ground on his stomach, arms and legs streched out crying full force when Jaxson takes something he was playing with. W-O-W! Didn't think I would have to deal with this stage until 2!

And it all started over a jelly belly ball! We went to the jelly belly factory yesterday and since the boys can't have jelly beans, we saw they had a jelly belly rubber playground ball. Since they LOVE balls and have one in every size, material and color, I decided to get them one. My mistake..............I should've gotten TWO. I technically did get two since I got one ball and one football. Well, the hell with the football!

We do plan to go back and when we do, another ball will be bought by the Nabak family!

As far as other updates, the boys are learning more sign language. Jayce does ball, baby and more. Jaxson does ball, more and milk. They both do eat as well. I started teaching it when they were around 5 or 6 months old and it was just recently that they started to catch on which is awesome. Since everything is still 'da, da, da' and pointing it helps to know what they want to some extent!

They go for their 15 month check next month so we'll see what he doctor says at that time but so far, they are doing awesome and know body parts and will get something when you ask. Next is talking..........

Green, Blue, Orange and Purple..........OH MY!

My hubby and I fingerpainted with the boys before bath time tonight (we thought that'd be the perfect time). This was the first time that we tried this with the boys so we weren't sure what they would do or if they'd even like it. Turns out they did like it but it didn't last long. We got a few pictures 'done' but that was it.

"What are you painting, Jaxson?"

"This is fun, Mommy"

I think it's bath time!!!!

After they had baths, we had dinner and then played. Man, these boys were sure giddy and acting like crazy kids tonight..........

Shoving blocks in his mouth!!

Jayce stacking blocks!! He just learned how to do it so he does it ALL the time!

And he knows his shapes!

Have a good night!

Matchy-matchy

One of the rare occasions that you will see me dress my little booger beans alike!

I just never got into dressing the boys alike. Probably because my hubby isn't too fond of it. Not because he wants them to be 'individuals' or anything like that but because it's just expected with multiples, I guess? He doesn't like to be predictable...........

We actually bought that onesie a couple months ago and for christmas, got another one so we then had two. PERFECT!! I do like to dress the boys alike but if I do, it's usually the same outfit but in different colors.

10 Fun Facts

One of the other blogs I follow had this fun little fact 'game' on her blog so I decided to do it and pass it along to my followers! Since I hardly ever talk about my hubby or myself, I thought this would be a nice change.

1. I could live on mashed potatoes for the rest of my life if I had to!
2. I only read books by Nora Roberts
3. I am a VW lover and have only owned Jettas. That may change when another child (or children) comes along. Probably would need something bigger.
4. I have 4 cats and am dubbed 'the cat lady' by friends and family because of this
5. I crochet and have since I was about 12 or 13. I did not make the twins baby blankets though.....my Mom did!
6. I lived in Lousiana when hurricanes Rita and Katrina hit. After that, my husband and I knew it was time to moved back home to Wisconsin..........and now we want to move back! lol....
7. I am addicted to reality tv..........especially 'The Real Housewives' series
8. I don't cook but I bake up a storm.
9. I only wear my wedding ring when I am out of the house. When I am home, I have a plain gold band my hubby got me for our 1 year anniversary that I wear.
10. I love to travel and wish I could do it more. I've been to about 7 or 8 states, Jamaica and Spain!

There are my 10 fun facts. Now tell me 10 things about you...........
