A little backyard fun

We had a crazy busy weekend from a date night Friday to 18 (really 19) month pictures this morning. In between, we filled back up the kids pool to play in after dinner and tired them out for bedtime.

Jaxson is so dainty when it comes to anything that could be rough-housed.

With each time we take them out to play or take them to the park, Jayce gets gutsier and gutsier.

As always, we had a fun summer weekend. I love just doing things on a whim with my hubby and the boys and not having any obligations and having to be somewhere at a certain time. That definitely makes life more fun.

A day in the park..........

My husband's family reunion was yesterday in Green Bay. Not a fun drive but it was a good time. The boys had fun with all the playground equipment as you'll see. We have taken them to parks in the area but none had all the cool stuff this one did.

We had a great time with family and an even better time exploring new things in the park. Can't wait until next year when they'll be a little older and even more curious!

Happy 4th!

Despite all the teething (Jayce getting his 2yr molars and Jaxson working on the last of his front teeth), we had a pretty good 4th of July this year. No fireworks (early bedtime) and no parades (neither will sit still) but we did play outside all weekend which was fun!

Here's a quick recap: Friday, laid low and did our weekly Target run and got a new pool; Saturday, played outside around the house and went to a local 4th outdoor party; Sunday, got the boys hair cut for the warm weather and played outside some more; Monday, went to grandma and grandpa welch's in the afternoon, swam and came home!

WHEW! It was a busy, crazy weekend and the boys had a blast. I'm sure they could've played outside some more but it was time to get home and wind down for bed.

Boys will be Boys.........

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE having boys but they just get so messy and dirty all the time. I guess I shouldn't complain because it could be worse. We did have a very messy/dirty weekend. We finally put out the boys' outdoor slide/basketball/soccer combo playset and bought them a water standing toy to get ALLLLL wet in. They loved it, needless to say.

Father's Day 2011



Father's Day was also a success this weekend. I got up with the boys yesterday morning while Kevin slept in. The boys ate, finger painted some pictures and when they went down for a nap, I went out and got a new jug for him for soda/juice/tea for work and breakfast from McDonald's (I didn't feel like cooking!). After the boys nap, we went to visit my father in law and my Dad and then it was back home to eat lunch and take an afternoon nap. It did rain a little in the morning but stopped and dried up so we could play in the yard in the afternoon. We ended with pork chops on the grill and then the Sunday night line-up on t.v. It was a great weekend and a great Father's Day. Can't wait for next year!!!!

Summer is here.............

not that summer is my favorite season (because it's not) but it's better than before I had kids. Why you ask? Because there are so many things to do with the boys outside. I will NOT take them out if it's hot and humid only because I will be out there for a minute and want to come back in (can you tell I don't do well with the heat?).
Today we went by Grandma and Grandpa's house to play on the new swing set that the big boys put together over Memorial Day weekend. We had loads of fun as you'll see:

We had a great weekend that ended with a bike ride through the parkway by our house. We saw 3 deer along the way! Can't wait for more fun times this summer with the boys! Next on the list...........the zoo!
