Can you believe the boys are 7 months old already!??? Where has the time gone? The last month has been eventful! Here's what has happened:
Jaxson said his first word - 'dada', of course, since he's usually with Kevin
Jayce finally started the 'rocking' on his hands and knees so he MAY be crawling soon
Jaxson is cutting his first tooth! WHOO HOO!!
Lastly, Jayce, is cutting another tooth (maybe teeth) on the top!
I did have a chance to take 7 month pictures on time this month. Two days and 500+ pictures later, here are the favs:
Kevin and I are still working on getting the boys used to sleeping in places other than their crib and they are getting better in the car, too, partly because of their new car seats. No more infant seats for these big boys!!! I think they love that they can see out the window and know what's going on instead of being cooped up in that little car seat! They can also see Mommy and Daddy better and are at a perfect height for their mirrors.
I love this age that they are at but at the same time, I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next. They need to grow up and while this time is going by too fast for me, it's all part of life. They will always be my little baby boys even when they are 20, 30 or even 40! I am enjoying every minute that I have with them (even when I'm frustrated!) and cherishing all the moments because once they are gone, I can't get them back!
Mommy and Daddy love you, Jaxson and Jayce! Happy 7 months!
Love,
Holly

Jesus loves me, this I know!
The boys were baptized July 24, 2010 at St. Matthias Church. Kevin and I were very hesitant to have it during mass seeing as we wouldn't know how the boys would do but they did WONDERFUL! Jayce was even 'singing' during mass. And when it came time for the water, both of them took it like champs. Jaxson just layed there like he normally does in the tub and Jayce kicked like he usually does!
After mass, we took some pictures and then off to my parents 'new' house for a party! The boys still did good there........up until bedtime. Then they got VERY fussy and overtired so we had to go home and put them to bed.
Here are a few shots from the day:
Mommy and Jayce
Daddy and Jaxson
All of us after walking in the procession!
Jaxson with his godparents, Jacob and Gina and Jayce with his godparents, Keith and Shannon
The YUMMY cake!! Marble with strawberry filling!
All in all it was a great day and we thank everyone who was able to make it!

Holly

Blue and Green!
When the boys were babies we just happened to get all blue and green stuff. I don't know if it was on purpose or those were the two colors outfits came in for boys at the time but it stuck. When Grandma and Grandpa Welch brought the boys one of their many presents at the hospital, she had the presents in a blue and a green bag and just said to pick who was going to have which one before we opened it. Well, we picked green for Jaxson and blue for Jayce (they got piggy banks, by the way). It even happened on accident with their swings as well. We have one Fisher Price ocean wonders swing (which is blue) and one Fisher Price rainforest swing (which is green) so each always get their colored swing.
Now it's just second nature that whenever we buy an outfit for the boys or dress them, Jaxson always gets green and Jayce always gets blue.
Here are some recent pictures of them in their color.......

The tale of two teeth.........
The boys have been 'teething' since about 3 months! They would just drool CONSTANTLY! To me, that was what teething was.........or so I thought!
3 weeks ago I got my first dose of REAL teething with the boys. Irritability, constant drooling, everything going in the mouth and diaper rash! That lasted for about a week and all of a sudden they were back to normal. Then last Thursday, I discovered a tooth on the bottom of Jayce's dentition. And last Saturday, I discovered another. Jaxson doesn't have anything yet but Jayce is just going, going, going!
Here is as good of a picture as I could get!
Jaxson has pretty much been a constant teether the last 3 weeks on and off. Jayce as of today has started up again which makes me wonder if I'll be noticing any top teeth anytime soon??
We'll see..........

My little men!
Some days I'm still SO amazed that I have twins! Never in a million years did I think I'd have two babies, let alone two boys! They are such a bright spot in my life and my vacation this week with them has been great! I've got to spend so much time with them and bond so much more. We've also worked on some things since I've been home:
Jaxson is WANTING to crawl so bad. He's kinda doing it but going backwards instead of forwards. I'll put him on the area rug and put a toy in front of him and he tries to get it but ends up back towards the wall! Silly boy.
Jaxson is also VERY close to saying his first word which I believe will be Mama. He has his 'M's down very good and that's the only reason why.
Jayce is such a strong boy and everyday I try to keep him up on his legs because I think he'll be a walker and not a crawler. He jumps so good in his jumper (almost breaking it at times).
They are both doing so good with table food and each day, they eat more and more. So far they've had carrots, peas, peaches, applesauce and we just started green beans. We try to have a mixture of a new fruit one week and a new vegetable the next.
We also have started some juice which they are doing great with. I just bought them new learner cups that have handles on them so they can grip that. The other cups we have don't have handles but they still did great with those. Maybe for dinner they can have some juice afterwards and we'll see how they do.
These boys just amaze me more and more everyday and they are starting to do so much. I have been a slacker with blogging lately but I think with all the pictures and videos I've been taking, it will pick up more.
Love,
Holly

Happy 1/2 year, boys!
We made it through to 6 months successfully. The boys are teething for real now......not just being droolers like the last 3 months........both boys are sleeping through the night and Jaxson looks like he'll be crawling at any time! Whew! I doubt that Jayce will crawl! He has some strong legs and he may just walk like mommy did when she was little.
They had their 6 month shots yesterday and here are their updates:
Jaxson - 25 7/8" long and 16lbs 12oz
Jayce - 27" long and 18lbs 2oz
They are growing, growing, growing! I love every minute that I have with them and can't wait to see what they will do next.
Jaxson and Jayce are still doing good with baby food. So far they have had peas, applesauce, carrots and just started peaches today. They are still getting used to the spooon but with each day they get better and better!
On both boys you can see the outlines of their teeth on the gums. It's just a matter of time now before a tooth will actually cut. They have been pretty irritable, more than normal, so I hope one or more will come soon for both of them.
I did take their 6 month pictures and here they are!
Jaxson's pictures:
Jayce:
I love coming up with ideas every month for the twins pictures. I can't wait to start plotting what to do next month.
Love,
Holly
