From now until the boys are born, I will not know how much they weigh. As of today:
Twin A - 5lbs 4ozs
Twin B - 5lbs 14ozs
Over the last 2 days I have had increasing lower back pain just like I felt a week ago when I was sick and at the hospital. At my non-stress test today I was having a lot of spikes in my uterine activity so we'll see if it keeps progressing over the next few days. My doctor said that at the point I'm at now (36 weeks), if I were to go into labor, they would not stop it and would let me have them.
The boys continue to look great, though. Fluids are good, weights are good and they have full heads of hair!!!! Now we all just can't wait to meet these little men. I am measuring about 47 weeks right now and I'm only 36 weeks so I'm pretty darn big with almost 11lbs of babies in me.
Besides all that, no new news has progressed. It's now just playing the waiting game and wondering when will they arrive. Will they come this week, next week or when the c-section is scheduled?? We'll soon see.............
Here's to hoping for new years babies,
Holly

A Very Merry Christmas........
Well, we certainly hope it will be a very merry christmas for us this year with an arrival of two special someones...........but so far, they are still cookin'. I've been going to the doctor twice a week and so far so good. Sometimes the boys cooperate and sometimes they don't. Thankfully I have my Mom to go with me and we talk and watch t.v. She certainly has kept me some well needed company!
I am now at the goal of my doctor, 34 weeks. Monday will mark 35 weeks so from now on, the longer they are in, obviously the better but 34 weeks was what they were shooting for. In case these boys DO decide to cook until 38 weeks, that is when I would be induced. My doctor has scheduled the c-section for January 12 at 7:30am. It is known that I will have to have a c-section because Twin A (Jaxson) is breech, feet first, and they doubt he is going to turn. He just likes where he's at and hasn't moved for about 1 1/2 months now. I guess if he's comfy, then let him be, right? :)
Over the last month I certainly have grown.......or should I say the boys have grown? Here are some updated pictures:
34 weeks..........almost there!
So sweet........
My Dad was kind enough to take a few extra pictures for us. I love how they came out. They will certainly be memories for us to look back on and show the boys when they are older. (Thanks Dad!)
My Mom and I also have been putting the finishing touches on the boys' room since they can come at just about any time. The letters for their names are painted and just need to be put up along with a few pictures but those are just minor things. Once everything is all together, I will post pictures of their room.
I have my next appointment tomorrow. Thursdays are my longer appointments since I have a non stress test, appointment with the doctor to answer questions and an ultrasound. But at least they are being watched closely to make sure everything is okay and falling right on track.
More updates to follow in the coming days.........
Love,
Holly

Zoom, zoom............
With each appointment, the news just gets better and better. I'm so happy that things have progressing so well these last few months. God is definitely watching over us.........Here are updates from today's appointment:
Twin A (Jaxson) - 134bpm and 4lbs
Twin B (Jayce) - 150bpm and 4.6lbs
As you can see, they are just growing awesome. They are not ahead of schedule anymore but they are right where they should be. They also have hair! I was born with a full head of hair and hopefully these boys will be just like Mommy.
Starting next week I will go twice a week for non stress tests to monitor the babies for approx. 30 minutes. This is just to make sure that they are moving and that their heart rates increase and decrease with movement. Twins are a high risk pregnancy to begin with and with that, they are also at a higher risk to be still born so that is why the non stress tests are done. With how everything has been going, the doctors aren't fearful at all of this but obviously just want to be sure.
Since I have been on bed rest I lost a few pounds already in these few short days. That makes me feel better knowing that the bed rest is working and getting rid of some of the extra water weight. Hopefully it continues to decrease to take even more extra weight off of me.
Everything else is going just wonderful........I have had trouble sleeping at night with the babies being active and my frequent potty breaks. If it gets too bad, the doctor said that they could prescribe something but I am holding off unless completely necessary. I do get long naps in the afternoon when they aren't as active so that outweighs the nighttime right now.
Kevin and I are just very excited to meet our little men so hopefully in the next few weeks, we'll be posting their first pictures!! Until then, new ultrasound pictures will have to do:
Jaxson (32 weeks) - You can see part of his little face looking at us
Jaxson - You can see his hair sticking up off his head!!!!
Jayce (32 weeks) - Hello baby!! :)
Jayce - Profile
Jayce - Look at his chubby little face!

Bedrest it is..............
Things have been quite interesting since my last post. I saw the doctor 2 weeks ago and 2 days after I saw him, I started getting some swelling. Over the last 2 weeks my blood pressure has been up and down and the same with the swelling. Last Friday, I called the doctor just to leave a message and let them know it was happening and the doctor ended up faxing a request for me to go home because my blood pressure was 144/90 when I was at work. I rested all weekend and went for a check today............the doctor put me on bedrest mainly for my swelling but to also prevent anything else from developing like pre-eclampsia. So far everything has been great and that is the way he wants to keep it. Thankfully it isn't strict bedrest. I can still go to a movie or visit friends, stuff like that but to keep it to a minimum.
The babies heartbeats were just great today. They still have room to move around and switch positions. I will still go this Thursday for my regular scheduled appointment and for my ultrasound to check the growth of the babies. I will obviously update after that appointment!! I'm SO anxious to see how much they weigh now.
Here is an updated picture of my ever growing belly. This one is from 30 weeks which was 2 weeks ago. I HAVE grown since this picture, I assure you.........
These boys are still movers and shakers but they are good and don't keep me up at night. The only thing keeping me up is my frequent potty breaks!!
I will update more on Thursday........

Holly

Pure Joy!
These babies are just amazing little men and I haven't met them yet! They have been growing great and have kept so healthy from the day of conception. Maybe it's what I'm doing/eating or maybe it's just them. Whatever it is, I couldn't be happier.
Our last ultrasound appointment was this past Wednesday and these boys look great. Some updates from that appointment:
Jaxson (Twin A) - 144bpm.....3lbs 1oz which measures 1 week ahead of schedule
Jayce (Twin B) - 138bpm......2lbs 15oz which measures 4 days ahead of schedule
I still have about 9 weeks to go and if my little men can hold out, they will surely be big healthy boys. The ultrasound went well. Not only are their weight and heartbeats going good but the amniotic fluid is still great and they are even practicing breathing on their own. That is just awesome to see them actually breathing inside me!!
In addition to my ultrasound, I also was tested for gestational diabetes which thankfully came back negative. I was also able to get the H1N1 vaccine as well. So I should now be fully protected.
I mentioned in the last ultrasound post that the pictures didn't make it onto the disk so I have those pictures as well as the new ultrasound pictures to update......who's ready for a slide show??
Jaxson - 24 weeks
Jaxson.....we are always told how BIG their bellies are!
Jaxson - 28 weeks
Jaxson - 28 weeks
Jayce - 24 weeks
Jayce - 24 weeks
Jayce - 28 weeks (he's got some long fingers)
Jayce - 28 weeks
Jayce - 28 weeks
You can tell by the ultrasounds that they sure have grown over the last month. Our next check-up appointment is November 19th. That'll be the same as the other checks just to listen to their heartbeats and measure them. Then our next...........and maybe last..........ultrasound is December 3rd.
I'll keep you posted!!

And they keep growing.............
Had another 2 week visit yesterday and the boys keep growing great. We hope and pray that they keep it up which means I have to keep up what I'm doing as well! Some updates from yesterday:
Jaxson (Twin A) - 145bpm
Jayce (Twin B) - 135bpm
Heart rates are going down a bit but that's normal since they are getting bigger. As long as they are 120bpm or above, then that is great. They are each gaining about 4-6oz PER WEEK!!!! So judging from our last visit 2 weeks ago, they both should be over 2lbs by now! WOW!!! Keep growing babies!
As for me, I'm starting to have very uncomfortable days. I have a lot of back pain if I sit or stand for too long at a time. Other than that, I've been doing just fine so far. I plan to work as long as I can.
Our baby shower is tomorrow.......a little early partly because the babies may come early and partly because of holidays coming up and being out of town and just plain busy! My Mom wanted to have it done before things get hectic!
The next scheduled doctor's appointment is for November 4 and that is for another growth ultrasound. I look forward to those appoinments the most when I can see the babies instead of just hear them! :)
I think it's just about bedtime. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I will leave you with my 26 week belly picture:

6 month visit!!
The babies sure are growing! We had our 6 month visit today and here are some updates:
Twin A (Jaxson) - 155bpm and measuring 1lb 10oz
Twin B (Jayce) - 151bpm and measuring 1lb 7oz
Both are still right in line with each other which is obviously excellent news. Jaxson is still 5 days ahead and Jayce is now 1 day ahead. I will still go every 2 weeks. Our next appointment is October 22nd for a check and then November 5th will be another ultrasound. That will also be a fun appointment where I get to drink glucola and have my diabetes testing.
I have grown myself..........this is a picture from 22 weeks:
Everything continues to keep going great and that is all we keep praying for. I did get some pictures from today's ultrasound but for some reason they didn't make it onto the disk so I will update those when I can.

21 weeks..........
We had our doctors appointment this afternoon and the babies are still doing good!!!! No problems with them, no problems with me! Here are some updates:
Twin A (Jaxson) - 154bpm
Twin B (Jayce) - 149bpm
They are still right in line with each other and from what they can tell from my weight and stomach growth, they are still growing just fine. These boys are also proving to be movers and shakers. I pretty much feeling their kicking/movements constantly throughout the day even when I'm active and walking around at work. Maybe they will be rambunctious??
I will go again on October 5 for another ultrasound. My continuing appointments will be every 2 weeks....2 weeks will be a growth ultrasound/check and 2 weeks after that is just a check, etc. just to make sure everything is going on schedule. I will continue that schedule until my last month and then I go every week.
We are starting to get very busy with packing to move next weekend, a baptism, baby showers and the holidays! I just hope I have enough energy to get through all of it.
I will update more as soon as I can!

And the genders are................
Duh, duh, duh, duhhhhhhhh..........2 boys it is!! I am still kind of in shock from this news but very happy to report that they are both doing excellent. Kevin and my parents came with me today and of course my Dad had to blurt out that he was right all along. Our sonographer found the first boy and my Dad said, 'well, I'm half right'. Then she found the other boy and my Dad just started laughing. Here are what their measurements are as of 5 months:
Twin A - 154bpm and 12 oz (5 days ahead of schedule)
Twin B - 148bpm and 11 oz (2 days ahead of schedule)
So both are still growing right along with each other and the heartbeats remain at the high end which is great. That's all we hoped for were 2 healthy babies and that is what we continue to be blessed with.
I know some of you may be wondering names and some of you may have already known. Our 2 peanuts will be Jaxson Joseph and Jayce Roger. Joseph is a name that has been in Kevin's family for ages and Roger was my late Grandpa's name. We will obviously want to see them first before deciding who's who but at this point, I really think Twin A is Jaxson and Twin B is Jayce. Jayce seems much more relaxed to me and Jaxson seems like a bully name which is exactly what they are. Jaxson LOVES to kick Jayce in the head!
Here are some pictures from today's visit:

Happy 4 1/2 months!!!!!
Congrats to my little peanuts, baby wiggly and baby rice cake! They are 18 weeks and 3 days today and continuing to grow big and strong!! I finally started feeling them move during a morning game of ‘hide-and-go-seek’. Earlier this week I was using the doppler to listen to their heartbeats and one of them……..I’m guessing this COULD be our little man……..kicked the doppler. Every time I would find one of them, they would be gone in a second. It has actually become one of my morning routines this week to listen to them and play through my tummy.
Here is an updated picture taken yesterday:
18 weeks
I can feel my continuing growth but from last month to this month, I don’t really see it in the pictures. I think at this point, I am rounding out more than growing forward. Either way, I AM growing and that’s what we want to show that the babies are growing inside me as well.
Kevin and my ‘ultrasound countdown’ is in the single digits!! In only 8 short days we will find out what is hiding in my tummy. Of course we have our preferences but as long as our babies are healthy, that’s all that matters. We will certainly keep everyone updated with what the genders are!
In other news, our move is down to only 1 month. We still haven’t started packing yet but I plan to try and get some done this weekend. Kevin and I are very excited to get out of our apartment and into something a little less busy and a little quieter.
Love,
Holly

Oh, the days go by!
After a little scare on Thursday morning, the countdown to our anatomy ultrasound continues................
Thursday morning I woke up and was having some pain in my lower back that extended around my right side. I got in touch with my doctor and she said to eat something, take some tylenol and lay down for a little bit. If that didn't help the pain, then she said to call the office when they opened. I ended up going in and after the doctor checked a few things, I just found out it was my stretching pains. I'm 4 1/2 months and this is apparantly a major growth spurt time for the babies. So it's good for them that I'm stretching because it means they are growing but it's also painful for me trying to keep up.
I've been having some trouble falling asleep and trying to get in the right position that's comfortable but eventually I drift off. During the day I do have some bouts where the pain hits me but all is well with the babies so I have to just deal with it.
We are now down to 13 days until our anatomy ultrasound where I HOPEFULLY can find out the genders (if the babies cooperate). Kevin is VERY excited to know what's hiding inside my belly as is the rest of my family. Kevin and my parents will be coming along for the fun on September 4! We can't wait!!!!!
Until then, I hope things keep progressing and the babies keep growing healthy! More exciting updates and pictures to come!

4 months going strong
We all made it to 4 months!!!! The babies had their check up yesterday to measure and listen to the heartbeats. My parents were kind enough to accompany me since Kevin could not make it to this appointment. Here are the updates:
Twin A – 156bpm
Twin B – 160bpm
They are still very close in range so that is good. The rates have come down a little bit since my 3-month visit and the doctor said that is all normal because they are growing bigger and their little hearts don’t need to beat as fast. She said as long as they are 120 or above, that is good.
I have also finally gained some weight for the babies, which I’m thinking, is mainly all the extra blood and fluid. I am now up 9 pounds for these first 4 months. I should gain anywhere from 35 to 45 pounds throughout this pregnancy.
My due date is still January 25, 2010. If I make it past the new year, they will induce twins at 38 weeks, which would be January 12. Hopefully these little peanuts can hold out long enough to be big, strong and healthy.
Here is my updated picture of my ever growing belly:
This was taken at 14 weeks! What a change from just a month before.
Our next appointment is the big anatomy ultrasound where we can hopefully find out the sex of these babies! We have been counting down the days. That appointment is set for September 4 so we will surely update everyone more then!
Until next time.....
Love,
Holly

Welcome to the 2nd Trimester!
Today marks 13 weeks and officially the start of the 2nd trimester. These last 2 months since I found out I was pregnant have gone by so fast. I can only hope that the next 6 months go the same.
Things have still been going great with the babies, as you saw in my last post. As for me, I'm still doing better but not great. I wake up with a headache almost everyday, I have strange dreams at night and I still have some nausea but not as bad as it was. On the bright side, every now and then I kinda feel a jerk in my tummy which I THINK is from the babies. Hopefully soon I can feel them without having to lay down with my hand on my tummy for 30 minutes.
The rest of the family is doing good. I think the kitties know that something is up because they always all follow me wherever I go. Kevin and I are very excited to have found a new place which we will move into October 1st. It's a duplex so we now only have 1 neighbor to worry about instead of 7 like we do now. It'll give us more space and a little more freedom than what we have in this complex right now.
Other than that, we are all doing fine and excited to see what these next few months bring. More updates will follow my next appointment on August 12th.......
Love,
Holly

3 month Doctor's Appointment
Today was one of the best doctor's appointments so far........for me anyway! It has been so awesome these last 2 months to see them and hear their heartbeats and most of all, see how much they develop from one appointment to the next.
All I was excited for today was to see a 'baby' formation. Little did I know I was going to get much more than that. I layed down and looked at the screen and of course, was happy to see my two little peanuts. The sonographer said they were sleeping. I was like 'ok'. She did her thing and measured them and checked the heartbeats. Updates are:
Twin A - HB 170 and measuring just over 2 inches
Twin B - HB 171 and measuring just over 2 inches
They are both growing almost exactly the same which they said is what we want. They don't want one to grow fast than the other. So that was pretty good news.
I was still lying there just having fun seeing them and the sonographer asked me to cough. I was like 'ooookay'. So I did and all of a sudden Twin B decided to start moving. It was the most amazing thing to see probably because I really wasn't expecting it. He/She was facing the screen and rolled over to the other side kicking me in the process. Then she went to Twin A who just didn't want to wake up. After laughing about it, he/she started bobbing their head.
Seeing them actually move just put me in awe. Things are starting to become more real as the days, weeks and months go on. Pretty soon, they will be here and this will all just be in the past and there will be new things I will be in awe about. But for now, I'm so happy with the progress and happy my little angels are growing great!
Here are some pictures from today's appointment as well as my first 'belly' picture:
Here is Twin A chillin' on his/her back almost sucking their thumb
Another picture of Twin A's face
Twin B (aka 'the active one') didn't want his/her picture taken.....the two pictures I got of twin B were pretty much identical. You can see his/her hands up on the side of their face and then a little bit of the squished up legs
I know I look so thrilled in this picture........this was about 10 1/2 weeks!
My next scheduled appointment is for August 12 and that is just to measure me and hear the heartbeats. Then I also scheduled the fun anatomy ultrasound for September 8 so we can find out what we're having. Kevin and I are both very excited for that appointment! I will continue to keep this updated as much as possible so check back often!

No more pains, please!!
Yesterday I called the doctor because starting Sunday night I was having some low abdominal pain on and off. On Monday it continued like that all day and yesterday it was just constant. It was starting to bother me for the fact that the pain wasn't getting worse but it wasn't on and off like it was the two previous days.
I asked the nurse what she thought it could be if maybe it was stretching or any type of moving of my uterus and she said it's too early for that......which I later did find out when I saw the doctor that it COULD be that! I think the nurses need to be more educated!
Anyways, they said I should just have an exam to rule out a possible UTI since that's the kind of pain it felt like. I went in and answered a bazillion questions. I was told I didn't have an infection or blood in my urine so that was good. But then what was causing my pains was my question. To make sure the babies were doing good I got to hear their heartbeats!!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SOUND! I didn't cry like I thought I might. I was just more in shock. It was so weird. I was scared at first just hearing some swooshing sounds and no heartbeat but then she finally found both of them and I was immediately put at ease..........not for long since I was still having these pains.
She took a look inside and said my cervix was closed, I had no dialation, no irritation and no blood. Hmmmmm, I guess I stumped her because I asked why I was having this if she can't find anything. She said she ruled out everything it could be. The babies are good, I'm fine so she said to call if the pain worsens otherwise.......duh duh duh duhhhhhh........it could be just stretching or moving of my parts into place so it could be completely normal.
I had no other choice but to accept that and move on my way...........last night was alright. My tummy still hurt and I had a hard time falling asleep but I finally did. So far this morning I'm feeling pretty good. I have some achiness in my lower abdomen and I'm hoping it doesn't get like how it was yesterday. I pray that it was just some stretching or moving and now I can feel better after the last 2 1/2 days of it.
My doctor still wants me to keep my appointment for July 15th. Kevin will be with me at that appointment and we'll be able to hear the heartbeats again. They'll do some other things like measure me and weigh me but other than that, it will be a pretty quick appointment.
I will update more then..........unless other fun stuff happens! :)

10 Weeks Today!!
Today marks 10 weeks.......it's seems like so much longer with all the nausea I've been going through! I still have the nausea but not as much as I used to. It's on and off these days and it seems to be turning into more tummy aches which I'm told are stretching aches of my ever expanding uterus.
Every Monday as we start a new week, Kevin and I sit down and read the in's and out's of what's going on with the babies and me for that particular week. This week we learned that our babies are roughly the size of a garden beetle. Hmmm, what a comparison! (LOL) We also learned that this week they are developing their genitals (which Kevin hopes is one of each and I hope it's two of one or two of the other)! We've been reading our book weekly since about week 8 and it's a great way for us to both be up to date with our babies' developments.
It's now been a month and half since we first found out we were pregnant and the shock of the pregnancy (and the twins) has finally settled in. Now it's turned to more nervous-ness of wondering if they are still growing at the rate they should be. All we hope for is that they are healthy and safe! I'm sure at this stage in the game, most women have the same fears I do but I'm trying my best to stay positive and think optimistic.
I have been asked for some pictures now that I'm starting to get the infamous 'baby bump'. I promise I will take some soon before our next post. We are both looking forward to our next appointment on July 15th and day in and day out, that's all that helps us get through our day. I think I speak for Kevin and I when I say that we can't wait to hear our babies' heartbeats for the first time. I know it'll be even more amazing than just seeing them on a screen.
Until our next appointment, I ask that everyone please pray for the babies that they continue to grow and develop as they should. That's all that we are focused on right now and I think once we get past our next appointment into the second trimester, things will hopefully get a little easier and a little less stressful......at least until we get to 'crunch time'.

Holly

2 month Doctor's Appointment
The babies had their 2 month visit today. I was able to have another ultrasound that revealed the babies are right where they should be. They are growing some arms at the moment which is pretty awesome. No legs yet, though! :) Their hearbeats have gotten so much better and are both about the same in the 180's.
I had my blood taken today and if anything comes back suspicious, they will give me a call. Otherwise that is all good as well.
I'm still having a lot of nausea which I was told will start to go away and be totally gone by my next visit. We go again on July 15th and will be able to hear the heartbeats through doppler at that time. That will be something new in our journey to actually hear the heartbeats instead of just see them.
So far, everything is going great and that's all we continue to hope for. My due date is a few days earlier now at January 25th and I was told that with twins, they usually induce 2 weeks before the due date which would be January 11th.......my brother's birthday! :) Hopefully these kids can hold out until then and be big healthy babies.

It looks like baby makes 4!!!!
Things have been going good since my last post. I’ve had a few aches here, a few aches there but nothing that REALLY alarmed me. Last night I started have a little bit of spotting which prompted me to call the doctor first thing this morning. The nurse called me back and said that it didn’t sound too serious since I wasn’t having any cramping at all but with the weekend coming, they wanted to go ahead and check me just in case.
I went in at 9:30am this morning and they did a quick ultrasound before I was going to have my exam with the doctor. I lie down, look at the screen and see some black circles. Me being a first time Mom had no clue what they were. The nurse did her zooming tricks and said to me, ‘Well, I got some news for you’. I hesitated for a minute thinking the worst and said, ‘What’s that’? She told me I was having twins! I said, ‘Are you joking’ and she said she doesn’t joke.
I was in complete and utter shock!!!!
I just didn’t know what to say. I went from the ultrasound to have my blood drawn and then I was on my way. When I got to the car I called Kevin and then my Mom. Both of them were very happy. I only took one round of clomid at 50mg and hoped that it would help us conceive but never thought that would alone give us the blessing of two children.
So now we have two tiny babies on the way! The heartbeats are good. One was at 115 and the other was at 126. They are right on track with growth so that is all great news. I’m feeling just fine still. I still have some of my backaches from earlier this week but other than that, I’m doing great! I still have my next appointment on June 17th and as far as I know, they are going to do another ultrasound then because Kevin wasn’t able to be with me today.
I will give everybody more updates after our appointment!

What a week!
It has been quite the week for us! I will start with last Wednesday when we found out our news.........I did go to the doctor and confirm my pregnancy. I was given a due date of January 29th!!
After Kevin got home from work Wednesday, we went to my parents house to tell them the news and then to Kevin's parents house. For my parents, it worked out in our favor because they were demo-ing the full bathroom and had almost everything ripped out. My Dad was letting Kevin make holes in the wall with the hammer but I didn't want to be swinging anything so he told me to write something on the drywall. I decided to write 'May 20, 2009.....congratulations to the grandparents to be'. We then told them to see what we wrote and my Mom came out crying and asking who that was. We also got them a piggy bank jar that says 'grandchild change'.
At Kevin's parents house, we got them a card to tell them the news. They read it and after the first sentence knew what was going on. They were very happy as well and were giving us hugs and asking questions. We let them know the little that we knew and that was it.
It was so great that we had the extended holiday weekend from work to celebrate and relax. I still haven't been feeling any symptoms yet except for my chest soreness but then again, I'm only 5 weeks. I've been a little more hungry, as well. Things seems to be going along just fine, so that is great news!
We have our next appointment on June 17th for an ultrasound and new OB visit. I can't wait to see how things have progressed and changed from now until then. I will post more after that appointment.

Holly

Has it FINALLY happened??
Where do I start? Kevin and I have been married for 2 1/2 years and have been trying to get pregnant for the last year. It's been such a struggle for us and we just couldn't figure out why. I had MANY tests done and I was fine except for my ovulation. My origianl doctor, whom I've seen since I started going, wouldn't budge on giving me any fertility meds so I went to see a new doctor in the same practice. He was wonderful............and coincidentally, he's my Mom's doctor as well. He saw there was an issue and prescribed me clomid at my first appointment. Problem was, I was in one of my long, almost 3 month cycles and had to wait 1 1/2 months before I could start it.
In the meantime, Kevin was directed to get some testing done. He decided he wanted to wait until we tried our first round of clomid and if it didn't work, then he'd go to see what was up. We waited and waited and finally I got the start of my cycle. I can't tell you how happy/excited/scared I was to start it. I was just thinking, should I tell people we got it or keep it a surprise in case it works. Everybody found out and that was fine with me.
I started the clomid on April 24th and used my ovulation monitor in conjunction with it just to see if the meds were working. Well it said they were so we just hoped for the best. Over the course of the last 2 weeks I have been feeling pretty weird and I had a temperature when I went to the doctor last week. I wasn't sick, no infections! My boobs have been sore, my back was hurting bad and yesterday my tummy started hurting. I was just waiting for my fertility monitor to tell my cycle was coming and then I was going to test.
Well I woke up this morning and turned on my monitor and there it was, the symbol that said my cycle was coming. So I decided to test for the heck of it. Within a minute, I got a PREGNANT reading. I didn't know what to do. I was up early, it was about 6am, Kevin was still sleeping. I didn't know if I should tell him before I went to the doctor, if I should wait to tell him. I just sat by myself for about 15 minutes and when I heard the alarm go off, I ran in the bedroom and woke Kevin up and said, 'Good morning, daddy to be!'. He just pulled me down by him and hugged for what seemed like forever. He kept saying, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah'.
We are both so overwhelmed right now! When you're so used to throwing away pregnancy test after pregnancy test, you start to expect to have to do that. Not this time!! I am going to the doctor to confirm today but I really feel I am and there's no changing that great news!
